1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

HI, I’m YokaiofSilk. I have been a traditional artist for years in RL who’ve started doing some digital fetish artworks, two years ago.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I have some inspirationing artists for traditional art, not much for digital. Even if I paradoxically watch digital art more often.

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

As far as I can remember, I’ve always enjoyed drawing, even since my childhood. The tickle interest came pretty early too, my first memory of it appeared as I was 4. But it started being a more identified thing around my 6-7 years.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

There are few, honestly. In a general way, as a drawing doesn’t involve real people nor true consequences for them, I take advantage of it to settle non consensual situations, like kidnapping or hazing scenes. Also, I often enjoy the realistic traits, like girls next door or first tickle torture experiences for retribution.

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

One of the indisputable features of tickling is the effect produced on the victim. A girl opening wide her mouth to plead and laugh, the facial expressions – combining smiling mouth and angry/sad eyes, her bouncing breasts, or her fingers/toes wiggling nervously. A tickle enthusiast loves to see it, and a tickle artist enjoys drawing it. Even though the situation, the protagonists (ocs, real people, celebrities, pop culture characters), and the relation lee/Ler are extremely interesting criterions.

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?

Illustrations, or any other art forms like fetish literature, may bring the “watcher” to a higher level of imagination, which photos and videos can’t really do, in my opinion. Fictional characters are extremely appreciated through the sexual fantasies, including tickle fetish, and the artworks may bring an infinite panel of situations, interpretations, designs, for them. These same characters are less easy to find in photos/videos, for obvious reasons, so it’s mostly about cosplay models and there is way less available content.

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

So much to say. I think tickling is actually a complex mix of various opposite things. It may be used as a real torture method, but on the other hand it’s totally painless. Maybe one of the rare sexual punishments not aiming to inflict injuries or physical pain. Also, it combines the cuteness and innocence of a childish game, like tickle fights between friends and siblings, just as it may be way more “adult” when used to submit someone or proceed to an erotic foreplay. This, without forgetting that tickling naturally goes with other fetishes, based on body parts. Impossible to talk about tickling without mentioning armpits, bellybutton or feet fetishes for example.

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

I’d tend to say my most recent works, the more recent it is, the better the render. Just because I’m a traditional artist, I feel like I’m learning digital painting a bit more for each new piece done. Also, those were the tickling looks the most torturous.

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

I got a few. Guess I should explore a bit more the fetish comics thing, to go a bit further than just one illustration and really work on situations and characters’ temper.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

I think AI may possibly end a lot of careers, and this goes way further than just art or fetish art. In a way, I even consider our community as lucky about this, cause people don’t necessarily look for perfectly executed artworks. They enjoy the creativity of the different artists, some of them also enjoy the personal bond with them. Each style, each mind, each speciality. When someone commissions an artist for a tickle artwork, this brings a discussion and points of view, as the AI simply generates coldly what you’ve asked. It’s not the same approach. Well, even if there’ll always be people preferring art made by robots.
