Tickling Artists #84: Interview with TIToffCourse

1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

I’m TIToffcourse. I can only tell you about myself that I have had an interest in drawing since childhood, I practiced it a lot, I loved watching cartoons or anime, and then drawing characters from there.

My project “TIToffcourse” appeared precisely thanks to this interest from childhood.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I’m self taught so I can’t say much about drawing techniques, I try any drawing style I like.

I can’t say I’m still inspired by anything, but the one who inspired me to start making tickling animations was “cesar3o0”. I saw his gifs and thought I could do something similar, but I wanted to add a plot to my cartoons.

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

I’ve always had a passion for drawing, but I didn’t learn about tickling right away. More precisely, I didn’t immediately understand that I could like it in this way.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

The scenario I like best is when one man torments some sweet lady with tickling on her feet. The girl should be terribly afraid of tickling and be against this process. It is desirable that before the act itself it should be visible that she intentionally or accidentally teased her executioner.

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

 I still have a lot of ideas in my head, and I think I’ll keep them a secret;)

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?

Illustrations, animations and comics give you the opportunity to realize your most sophisticated fantasy, you can tickle anyone. At the same time, you do not have a question whether it is pretended or she really ticklish.

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

I find it difficult to answer this question, I will only say that tickling is something magical, mysterious and it follows all fans of this genre from deep childhood.

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

I can say that every time my favorite work is the one I just created, because I try to do something new and interesting every time.

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

They exist, but I will keep silent about them.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

I think if an artist has their own style, AI won’t be able to completely replace that creator. On the contrary, it will be motivated to do something new, unusual. So fans will only benefit from this.
