Tickling Artists #44: Interview with SinisterSpaghetti

1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

I go by the nickname SinisterSpaghetti.

I love D&D, video games, board games cosplay, movies and sweets! I live in South Eastern Europe and I am relatively new to making kinky art, though not so new to the community.

My art mainly focuses on tickles and foot fetish themes, but I try my best to include all sorts of kinks! Those two are probably my favorite ones however.

I really enjoy both fanart AND art of my OCs, so it’s a struggle picking between the two haha

Outside of the more lewd stuff I am an illustrator and I regularly make “normal” art, but I don’t post it anymore, something that I plan on changing this year.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I almost exclusively draw digitally.

I love traditional art. The feeling of the paper under your fingertips, the smooth motion of the brush, you can’t compare that to digital art, and I used to mostly draw on paper once upon a time, but digital is just more convenient. Easier to show around, easier to fix mistakes, easier everything.

I’m a very indecisive person so choosing favourite artists is very hard… KiimmoTK is definitely one! Triangles3 is another. Root001 too. ArbuzBudesh and ManaPotion_art as well. They all have elements that I strive to learn from! Linework, shading, anatomy, sketching, etc.

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

I knew that I would be an artist since I was 13. I was good at it and it was fun. I only ever started practicing seriously 3, maybe 4 years ago. Before that I wasted a lot of time and didn’t draw anywhere near enough unfortunately.

My love for tickling has been around for about as long. I’m not sure when it started but it feels like it’s always been a part of me since I’ve always been drawn to tickle scenes in media.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

It depends on my mood, it’s always different. Sometimes I want something cuter and more playful, others I want more sadistic scenes.

I’m more drawn to fantasy scenarios though, and particularly ones with more unorthodox bondage and magical restraints. I also really like revenge scenarios since the dynamic between the lee and the ler in those is more personal, which adds a nice touch.

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

I love portraying the struggle of the lee, whether that is the physical attempt to get out of the binds or the internal struggle to keep their composure and avoid cracking.

Of course everything else matters to me a lot as well: the laughter, anatomy, the relationship between the ler and the lee, but the lees fighting is my favourite element.

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?

Art in general to me is a way to escape the limitations of reality and fully indulge in our fantasies. It’s only bound by our imagination. Photos and videos are grounded in reality and there’s many ways to be creative with them but nowhere near as many as with drawing. What illustrations offer is the freedom to portray things that can’t happen in real life or things that could but in a different light, with different styles and more exaggeration, it’s what makes them more fun to me.

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

I think people who like tickling are into it because it gives you a playful type of rush. There’s always some sort of struggle, regardless whether it is on a physical level or on a mental one, where one person is trying to somewhat dominate the other, because essentially someone needs to give in to the tickling in the end.

What makes this different from other ways to achieve this though, like breath play or spanking or edging or something else, is that it’s way more teasy at its essence.

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

I usually hate my art, but there are a few that I actually really like. My OC Tivena in stocks tickled by glowing feathers is one, I made it for Christmas. I’m super happy with the Android 21 drawings. I also really like a Lux drawing where she’s in magical shibari!

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

I have way too many goals haha.

With the NSFW stuff, this year, I want to reach 10,000 followers in DeviantArt and 2000 on X (Twitter).

I also want to make a lot more art of my OCs, as well as including more OCs, and I also want to make a comics following one of their kinky stories. I’d like to also work on stickers at one point, I’ll just have to see where it’s best to do that.

Every now and then I try to make a drawing as realistic as I can, so another goal is to make a tickle artwork with a more realistic style. Maybe one like League of Legends splash art, but that would be towards the end of the year when it is better.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

I’m not really sure what influence AI will have. I really like that it enables people who can’t draw to bring their fantasies to life. Not everyone can afford to commission an artist, and not every artist will have the time. At the same time though, I’ve noticed that when someone makes an AI picture they post 1000 variations of it. I often feel like my feed in DA is just spam because I’m there to view human art, not AI, and yet often there’s way more AI stuff than not. Also, AI makes really weird toes…

I personally think it dilutes art to a certain degree, but that’s something that can be fixed with filters.
