TickleScenes as the months have gone by, has been exploring the phenomenon of tickling in mainstream products and offering promotional space to artists and creators who have made tickle enhancement their passion.
As we surpassed the ambitious goal of more than 100 tickle artists interviewed, we decided to celebrate the most relevant fictional characters featured in memorable tickle scenes.
On this page you will find a list of as many as 20 characters (heroes, heroines, villains, villainesses) who have entered the collective imagination of tickle enthusiasts.
This is a personal ranking that takes into account individual preferences but also notoriety and the number of tickle scenes in which they have been featured.
At the bottom of the page you will find the form to vote for one or two of your favorite characters. The characters who reach the most votes will be featured in an original fan story set in the TickleScenes tickle universe: the Grinnerverse!

20. Bubble Girl (My Hero Academia)

Instead of lasers or other dangerous tools, Dr. Doomsdoctor opts for a feather as his weapon of choice.

Harley Quinn, especially in modern comic books, has been depicted in some situations as ticklishly sensitive, by her own admission. She has also been featured in episodes of tickling Poison Ivy, the Joker, and Nightwing.
13 Husky (Dragon Ball)
In episode 45 of “Dragon Ball”, there is a notable tickling scene involving Goku and Husky.
Goku tickles Husky under her arms, causing her to react involuntarily. This tickling maneuver has a specific purpose – to make Husky’s arms twitch, resulting in the dragon balls she is holding to fall from her grasp1.

12. Lucy Heartfilia (Fairy Tail)

11 Zourbon (Dragon Quest)
In the “Dragon Quest” series, there is a notable tickling scene involving the character Zourbon. This scene occurs when Dai, the protagonist, captures Zourbon to extract information. To compel her to cooperate, Dai employs a rather unconventional method: he summons Derupa, a giant anteater-like creature.
Derupa uses its long tongue to lick Zourbon’s feet, resulting in intense tickling sensations. This method is both humorous and effective, as it exploits Zourbon’s vulnerability. Despite her resistance, the tickling proves too much for Zourbon, leading her to eventually divulge the information Dai seeks. 10 Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)
Nico Robin’s tickling usually involves her using her Devil Fruit powers to sprout additional hands from different angles, allowing her to catch Luffy off guard, and tickle him and Chopper. This adds a layer of humor as Luffy’s exaggerated reactions—laughter and squirming—highlight his vulnerability in a playful context.
9 Freeze (Corrector Yui)
Freeze is one of Grosser’s henchmen, the Corruptors.
In episode 8 Rescue, after imprisoning her, activates a machine consisting of a smiling face and a series of tiny hands. The mechanism exclaims “Tickle, Tickle!” and approaches menacingly toward a frightened Freeze.
After a few seconds, hands begin tickling her sides and under her arms. Freeze cries out and, after swearing revenge against Rescue, succumbs to the tickle and begins laughing wildly as the monitors show her laughing to tears.
8 Bluto (Popeye)
Bluto proves to be ticklish when, at the end of a confrontation with Popeye, he ends up immobilized in a hyena’s cage. When the animal starts laughing, so does the man, due to Popeye tickling him with a finger on his bare foot. Olivia was able to get her revenge!
7. Agent Heather (Gadget Boy & Heather)
Agent Heather from Gadget Boy & Heather experiences memorable tickling scenes that blend humor and light-hearted torture. In particular, one episode titled “The Long and Winding Wall” features a notable instance where Heather is subjected to what is described as the “torture of a thousand tickles.” This scenario highlights her reactions and the comedic aspects of the situation.

6 Vernon Fenwick (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
In this series, tickling is often portrayed as a form of playful torture. For example, in one episode titled “The Hot Case Kimono,” Vernon is foot-tickled by the villain Don Turtelli using a feather. His frantic laughter and attempts to squirm away create a humorous contrast to the seriousness of the situation.
In another episode, Vernon and Burne Thompson find themselves tickled by a different version of Don Turtelli, by Elvis Presley-like mobster and by aliens.
5 Inspector Zenigata
Inspector Zenigata, a recurring character in the Lupin III series, is often subjected to humorous tickling scenes that highlight his interactions with Lupin and the absurdity of their cat-and-mouse dynamic.
In one memorable scene, Zenigata is ensnared in a trap set by Lupin. To distract him and prevent him from escaping, Lupin uses mechanical arms that tickle Zenigata under his armpits. This tactic causes Zenigata to laugh uncontrollably, ultimately leading him to lose his grip and fall, showcasing the comedic elements typical of the series.
In another instance, Zenigata is forced to cling to a large balloon inflated with his own breath. Lupin takes advantage of this precarious position by tickling Zenigata, further intensifying the humor as the inspector struggles to maintain his hold while laughing.
4 Son Goku (Dragon Ball Z)
In the Dragon Ball Z episode 196, there is a humorous scene where Son Goku is tickled by a Caterpy. Caterpy uses its body to tickle Goku, particularly focusing on sensitive areas like his sides and underarms. Goku’s exaggerated laughter and surprise reactions contribute to the humor of the moment. 3. Olive Oyl (Popeye)

2. Fujiko Mine (Lupin The Third)
Fujiko Mine, a prominent character from the Lupin III series, is featured in various tickling scenes that have garnered attention within the anime community.
In the classic series episode “Is Lupin Still Burning?” and its OAV remake, Fujiko is subjected to tickling torture by the sadistic Mr. X. He has her tied to a table from which a myriad of mechanical little hands come out and start tickling every part of her body.
In the original scene, Fujiko produces a series of moans and has a distressed expression as her tight-fitting jumpsuit opens up showing her huge breasts. In the remake, Fujiko shows more typical tickling reactions, laughing thunderously and flailing around in an attempt to escape the ordeal, not even being able to speak because of the prolonged tickling. In this version, Mr. X also makes use of a series of artificial mouths that perform even more merciless tickling, driving the woman to despair.
It is one of the most celebrated tickling scenes in cartoons, which combined with Fujiko MIne’s sexy subtexts and sensuality make it memorable even decades later.
