1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
Hi, I’m Jenna Nix, and I call Ocala home. I’m 33, and I have had a foot/ tickling kink for as long as I can remember. I think it started with Don Turtelli tickling April’s feet, which is probably where it started for a lot of people.
I started out wanting to use my talents, such as they are, to feel like I was making something for other people, rather than just spending my life as a drone in a Florida storefront. I used to never draw anything fetish-y, because I didn’t grow up in a good environment for sex positivity, especially when it comes to unusual kinks.
Leggi tutto: Tickle Artists #30: Interview with Jennanix90One day I decided to start drawing a demon girl tickled for some unknown crime in Hell, and I found that I really liked coming up with reasons for her to be in her situation. I named her Lilith and started drawing her a lot more, along with other characters I’d come up with, and found a home on DeviantArt, where there are tickle enthusiasts aplenty. It’s not quite what I imagined myself doing with my humble drawing skills, but I have no regrets. 🙂
2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
Paint Tool Sai is what I use for the most part. I sketch out a rough set of shapes based on a photograph if I can find one. If I can’t find a good reference and I want to do a pose that’s harder to do from scratch, I’ll pose a figure in Daz3D to help me picture where to put all the elbows, knees, and toes in the right places. From there, it’s just a game of patience filling out the colors and blending in shadows on multiple layers.
I have quite a few favorites, but I’ve been drooling over Pawfeather’s, Lord Reckless’s, and Firefox-USA’s art for YEARS. Seeing them be recognized for scratching this weird itch we all have inspired me to throw my hat into the ring.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
I’ve been drawing since I was a little girl. I’ve taken periods of inactivity over the years, but I always come back to it. I enjoy it more than any other hobby, and by a lot.
It’s fair to say tickling occupies a huge amount of my thoughts on a given day. When I see attractive people out there in the world, one of my first instincts is to imagine them tickling me, or me tickling them. Especially if you ever catch sight of someone’s bare feet, which is a bit more likely in Florida than in other places.
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
I’ve experimented with all sorts of poses, implements, and situations, but the thing that always gets my motor running, so to speak, is the classic “feet in stocks, wrists bound behind or overhead.” I love to see it, I love to draw it, and I love to experience it!
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
People make funny faces when tickled, so I love capturing that. There’s also something fun about representing mascara running. I also like for my victims to be confused but enjoying themselves, and not in any danger of harm, so I try to show that as well. I like feet, too, so it’s fun depicting them wriggling and stretching at all sorts of angles to try to escape the sensation of being tickled!
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?
Most obviously, you can only depict in photographs what you can show with real people in a real room. As much as I enjoy real tickling, the only way to see magic tickling spells cast, strange fantasy lands populated by monsters, and impossible scenarios is with artwork.
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
You know, I’ve never been sure. I’ve learned to live with my tickling kink, but I’ve never understood what makes it appealing to me. It used to bother me a lot, and made me feel like I was strange. For me it’s inexplicable. The same way people like boobs or butts, even though neither of those things correlates directly with reproduction. I really don’t know why I like it so much, but I do.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
I’m pretty happy with these:

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
I’d like to get better at drawing footwear. Most of the subjects in my drawings are barefoot anyway, but a lot of people like to see discarded shoes and socks in a foot-tickling piece. I’d love to draw a beautiful pair of discarded boots lying on the ground forgotten while some poor woman has her soles worked over in the foreground.
Also, it wouldn’t hurt to see some recognition for the stuff I draw that isn’t fetish-related.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
I think it’s like a lot of things. It’s a tool, neither good nor bad by itself. The problem lies in how it’s used. AI art looks kinda silly now, especially given how hard it is to get the bot to depict tickling without tipping it off that it’s for fetish purposes. It gets better and better, but for now it can’t draw this stuff like real people can. When it gets to that point, I worry that the ease of access for AI is going to render artists obsolete, which is obviously not good. What are we for, if not to create? AI should be used to help us do what we can’t as a species, not replace the fun stuff so all we have left is to work and doomscrolling on our phones until we fall asleep.
Art is part of what makes life interesting, whether it’s meant to titillate or not. I’m afraid of seeing it go away forever in my lifetime.
