Tickling Artists #83: Interview with IZackSeamusl

1. Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

I’m IZackSeamusl. I just use my art to express some of my (or my customers’) fantasies in a safe environment 🙂

2. What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I draw both digital (using Clip Studio Paint) and traditional. As for techniques, I try to mimic the anime and manga aesthetic as best as I can. And yes, I have many artists that inspire me, such as Kamikuzu, also known as Peperontino, (though he disappeared, he was very popular in the 2000’s), Oekaki Tickles (or Michael Scott Cannon), Kidetic (Kusujinn), WTFeather, Caroo, Pawfeather, BAC, and many, many others 🙂

3. How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

I have loved drawing ever since I was 3 or 4 years old. Same with tickling!

4. What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

I love many scenarios, but my favorites are non-consensual ones.

5. What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

All of those are valid. I like to try and focus on the facial expressions of the Lee, the bondage device using creative positions, sound effects, and such.

6. Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?

You have much more freedom through artworks. Illustrations allow you to explore content that would be impossible in real life, with the added touch of expressionism and exaggeration. You can draw a sexy, voluptuous elf being tickled by an enormous orc inside a cave, for example, which would be impossible in real life. The idea of art is to capture the exact particular moment and make it last forever, so the observer/watcher can feel or understand all the emotions, feelings, senses, textures, and much more that both the tickler and the ticklee are feeling in that exact frame. In my opinion, it’s all about immersion.

7. In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

That is very complex. I think it is a mixture of power, submission, dominance, control, helplessness, and many other aspects. That is why it is often correlated to BDSM. The tickler enjoys the reactions he derives from the victim, seeing how much control he has over them, while the ticklee enjoys not having control and being stimulated on sensitive spots while knowing that is arousing for their ticklerr.

8. What are your works of which you are most proud?

I’m afraid I don’t have a favorite, I am sorry. Each one is like a different piece of me.

9. Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

Yes, I want to be able to live from my art, both from Patreon incomes and Commissions. All that while I practice to become better at art itself. Maybe aspiring to be the best tickle-artist in the scene, but that is going to be really hard with so many amazing tickle-artists out there.

10. Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

That is a good question. It will certainly saturate the scene with generic content, as it is already happening outside of the tickling scene, but it can also help artists to improve by looking at them and coming up with different bondage positions, better anatomy, expressions, coloring techniques, etc.
