1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
Hi, I’m Ivarou. I am not a professional artist, I have not studied at any educational institutions dedicated to drawing. Also, unlike many other artists, I didn’t have the childhood habit of painting all the time. I first tried to draw something purposefully in 2018, and initially I was interested in drawing exclusively erotic content. I am sincerely glad when someone really likes my artworks.
Leggi tutto: Tickle Artists #45: Interview with Ivarou2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
Adobe Photoshop 2020 and the most common graphics tablet. Sometimes I draw sketches on paper with a simple pencil. My favorite artists: first of all, the classic of the genre Franco Saudelli.
I will make up my personal top of those whom I look up to and who influenced me:
- Briel7
- C.A.B.
- Kusujinn
- SleepyGimp
- Wtfeather
- SiberiaFetish
The full list of artists I like can be found in my DeviantArt subscriptions.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
Tickling and drawing have always been inseparable for me. I studied drawing solely in order to become a fetish artist, may the great classics of painting forgive me.
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
As a rule, these are scenarios about punishments, humiliations of sexual female characters, even often not deserving of such a fate. I’m a big fan of domination using tickling.
I believe that tickling is a part of BDSM culture, and the aspect of domination and submission in it is one of the main ones. My heroines tend to be tightly bound and mercilessly tickled. I like to draw ballgags, tears, dialogues with pleas for mercy. I also love the genre of public humiliation, which originated from BDSM videos, when the victim is defenselessly fixed in plain sight, and several characters are mocking her at the same time, moreover, under the supervision of the audience.
Therefore, do not be afraid and do not be surprised: for me, tickling is inextricably linked with eroticism and even porn. All my characters are adults, and all my pages are labeled as 18+.
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
Like most artists, everything is together. The most important thing in our genre, it seems to me, is to draw an expressive face. It can be either laughing or suffering, having fun, or full of despair. And of course, it is important to emphasize the power and dominance of the tickler over the ticklee.
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?
The main difference is that the roles in videos and photos are usually quite primitive and limited, while a drawing (and even more so a comic) can broadcast an entire fictional universe, scenario or situation. In this regard, the drawing has even more scope for imagination and possibilities than the videos and photos.
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
I look at it quite mundane, please forgive me. It seems to me that the tickling fetish is embedded in people’s brains at a very early age (and maybe even before birth), and its owners simply pulled such an unusual card from the genetic deck. Of course, there are people who are interested in this without an innate fetish, but there are much fewer of them. To be honest, I consider our fetish to be one of the most harmless and even romantic.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
Now I’m working on my first little comic book, which will contain more than 10 pages. I think it’s going to be my biggest job for a while.
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
Absolutely. I am well aware that I am not yet in the “top league” of tickling artists. My goal is to get closer in terms of quality and level of artworks to the guys from point 2. I am constantly practicing and experimenting. And it seems to me that I will not disappoint my subscribers in the future for one or two years, and I will seriously improve my skills during this time.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
We are in a situation where any outcome is possible. I would like to believe that AI will not displace artists (this will definitely not happen completely, because the author’s style will always be in demand), but it is developing at such a pace that it may one day become easier for many of our subscribers to enter a couple of prompts than to open our portfolios. In any case, neither I nor other authors will stop drawing, even in the event of an unpleasant outcome for us. We will do this just for fun, and for those who like our work.
