Who is Grinner?
Grinner (Grinius), the evil god of tickling“, or “the god of spasmodic laughter” is a devilish entity usually represented in the appearance of a chesire cat (purple cat with a persistent grin) with more or less humanoid features, although it can take a variety of forms.
The Grinner is a demon or god-like entity born of the goddess Hera tickled by a bewitched throne forged by Hephaestus, who for millennia has instilled in humanity the idea of using tickling to torture people.
The Grinner grants his worshippers long life and prosperity through mysterious alchemical or technological processes that involve robbing victims of their life force in the form of laughter obtained against their will.

In every historical epoch, the Cult of Grinner exercises harassment and immoral actions against other individuals, using tickling as a weapon to bend the will of others or to obtain valuable suffering laughter that goes to fuel Grinner power.

Mythology
Within the Grinnerverse exist all the religious pantheons that have existed in our world.
Deities are higher beings (presumably created by God) who draw power from the natural or emotional element that represents them.
Tickling, with its mixture of kinetic energy, fear, shame, exhilaration, and embarrassment, generates a great inner force, called Grinnerforce, which can be used to summon the Grinner from the dimension in which he resides, transfer strength to him, or enhance one’s vitality.

In particular, the Grinnerforce produced by certain individuals descended from the angel Luciferyne,“The First of the Ticklish” and Lilith, is particularly powerful to the point of being able to invoke Grinner and allow him to manifest in this world, if victims are tickled and laugh in the presence of the Eye of Grinius.

Locations
The Grinnerverse presents some nonexistent locations in our world in which tickle torture is practiced either as a systematic means of torturing others or as a form of devotion to Grinner.
- Grinnerville: a U.S. town whose faux-principled population likes to use tickling as a form of control over others
- Grinoa Island (Isla Risas): a Caribbean island ruled by a pro-Soviet dictatorship where an ancient cult still worships Chat Souriant, the god of tickle torture
- Grinnwich Sanatorium: a british sanitarium in which political dissidents undergo brainwashing mixed with tickling practices in order to be made obedient citizens of the Great Minister
- Castle Grinner (later Hotel Grinner): a gloomy manor house belonging for generations to the Bavarian noble family Von Grinner, where counts and countesses practice nonconsensual tickling to make a life-extending elixir.
Artifacts
The Cult of Grinner often makes use of grinnium, or gaudentium, a purple mineral that can store the tickle reactions of its victims in the form of “T-Vibes” to force its enemies to laugh as if they themselves were experiencing intense tickle torture, or to disproportionately increase the victims’ ticklishness. Grinnium can also be used in liquid or gaseous form, making it a formidable “tickle weapon.”
T-Vibes can also alter the molecular composition of plants, as in the case of the “laughter flowers” that grow on Isla Risas, from which a powerful exhilarating drug can be extracted.
The Eye of Grinius is a brilliant trapezohedron that corrupts the minds of those who laugh in its presence by turning them into a Herald of Grinner.
Some examples of Grinnium-containing artifacts are the Mask of Laughter (which forces the laughing wearer to laugh for the rest of his or her life), the Holy Hands (claws with which the Grinner Killer tortures tickling invulnerable superheroes), the Hephaestus’ Throne (seat capable of immobilizing and tickling those who sit on it).

In the remote biblical past, the angel Luciferyne was banished from Heaven for objecting to the creation of an unhappy humanity and confined to the top of the Tower of Babel.
