1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
I’m GhostofCastro. I actually only started learning how to draw about 3 years ago! So, I’m still finding my style, but I can honestly say I’m very determined to find a style that everyone will love as well as myself.
Leggi tutto: Tickle Artists #58: Interview with GhostofCastro2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
I am a digital artist for the most part, so I use a Cintiq 16 for my work. My favorite artists range from Dave Alverez, Sir-Bombers, zp92, to Kiryu. I take a lot of inspiration from these guys and I want to sit among them as an artist.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
I always wanted to draw. I told myself I couldn’t for a long time, but one day I decided I was going to do whatever it takes to learn how to draw. For years I’ve seen artists that I’ve liked flourish and I want to do the same.
My passion for tickling is a mystery even to me, I’ve liked tickling as far back as I remember. Lots of moments from tv and comic books that I remember secretly loving even though I had yet to discover why.
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
A: I love anticipation pieces. As someone who has filmed tickle shoots before I can tell you the foreplay is one of the most important factors into what makes the tickling experience much juicier.
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
A: I suppose the scenario itself. I like it when there’s context behind why the person is being tickled. Which is why I usually like putting dialogue into my work as well.
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?
The tickle victim can be ANYONE. From celebrity, to your cartoon crush, illustrations allow us to express our deepest desires and fantasies.
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
I think it can range from being cute and adorable, to being sexy and explosive. There’s such a wide range as to why each person likes this fetish.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
The Gwen TDI piece is one, it was one of my first times to do a full piece with bg, shading, ect, and it turned out well. The Nani one I’m super proud of, always had a crush on her and she has naturally big feet and I think I represented that perfectly!
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
I want to get better at rendering. Improve the look of the texture and make my composition more dynamic.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
To a point, my opinion of AI is that it’s a good reference source as far as posing, and composition goes but I would never say an AI generated image though is a “complete work of art”.
