1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
Hello, I’m FCat. I’m a 3D artist who does anything fetish! I’m not a full-time artist by any means, but I like trying to make things people would enjoy.
2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
I don’t exactly draw per se, but I create models from base figures. I texture their skin and generate their anatomy; the only drawing I do is with applying their makeup or blemishes. I utilize a variety of tools like Blender and Daz3D to get the model to look the way I want. I’m still dipping my toes into zBrush and Blender.
In terms of artists, I really like Jen Bartel’s work. The way she draws inspired me to find my own niche style.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
I never actually had the appetite for creativity or art growing up! I started this hobby around the beginning of 2021 after a conversation with a close friend who encouraged me to give it a try. I started using models ripped from different sources, but over time learned how to create my own. Now, I can’t get enough!
I discovered tickling when I was a young girl, and found it a little weird and creepy at first. But now I’m definitely a lot more open with the idea after getting to know so many amazing members of the community. I’ve made a lot of friends over the years who have diverse interests and I love them very much.
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
I’m into the world of superheroes. I like doing Marvel or DC characters in some fun situations.
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
I think I focus mainly on the expressions of distress, hopelessness, and warmth. It adds a lot to the atmosphere combined with the ticklee’s suffering. I’m also learning to incorporate more movement so the scenario seems “realistic” to how the ticklee would feel.
My fans love feet, so I tend to focus on them more.
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?
You can put virtually any fantasy character in any fantasy scenario when it comes to illustrations, so I think that’s where it comes out on top a little more. Your only limit is your imagination. I don’t want to downplay real scenes – I think both are equally creative in their own right and have a place in our community.
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
I think it’s playfulness. Tickling isn’t as painful as other fetishes are…like…it tickles. And people laugh, and there’s that element of catharsis and mental distress that makes it fun.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
I’ll leave it to the community to decide. I don’t really have one; if it makes them happy, I’m happy!
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
I’m so scared of it, but I’d like to try animation at some point.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
Personally, I’m not a fan. I feel like it cheapens the experience a little. It’s like looking up a stock image on Google of “tickling” vs. tickling art an artist took the time to create. I mean, like it or not, it’s not going away. I hope people can be respectful and ethical when it comes to AI.
