1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
Hey there I’m Comet aka Cometpunk, a digital tickling kink artist from Austria. Besides drawing fetish content, I enjoy drawing fanart as well as stuff that happens in my personal life as well.
If you don’t find me on my desk drawing, you will probably have to look for me behind my guitar. 🙂
Leggi tutto: Tickle Artists #106: Interview with Cometpunk2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
I mostly draw digitally with my Wacom tablet and on various programs like Paint Tool Sai, Clip Studio Paint and Procreate.
I have many artists that inspire me, mostly comic and graphic novel artists – and there are too many of them to list them right now.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
It feels like I was born to create stuff. Otherwisely I easily get bored and upset. I have to create, be it art or music – it’s my passion and I couldn’t do something else.
For tickling, I wouldn’t say it’s a passion, it’s just a kink that kinda grew to me since the day I can think. I always liked it.
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
I enjoy a whole lotta different scenarios. They reach from fluffy and playful and cute tickling to tickling torture, and interrogation and punishment scenes with heavy bondage and nowhere to go for the lee. It’s a whole spectrum I enjoy.
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
My viewers often comment on the facial expressions in my works. They seem to enjoy them very much. And I think this is one of the most important things when it comes to tickling art – the laughing expression of the lee. The cuter, the better. The more hysterical but still ticklish laughter (without it looking painful), the better.
It’s a hard thing to achieve and I’m trying my best to achieve it in each and every drawing I make.
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?
I think illustrations offer a lot more when it comes to fantasy and science fiction scenes. We can draw bizarre tickling scenarios, like portal tickling, which cannot work in real life. That’s why art will always be a great ventil for the most extravagant fantasies and dreams.
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
Maybe it’s the helplessness for the lee – to give up complete control to someone else when there is too much responsibility in the real world. It’s a way to relax, and a way to let out the frustrations of everyday life – just like in the BDSM-scene, I suppose.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
Currently I struggle a little when it comes to my art because I’m a horrible perfectionist. Currently one of my favorites is a commission I’ve drawn which shows Stolas from Helluva Boss being tickled by the commissioner’s fursona. And everything that features my beloved OC Angus.
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
Work on my anatomy more, maybe find out how to draw noses differently, haha – just the usual artist troubles.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
AI has improved a lot in 2024 and sometimes it’s scary to think about the whole thing developing at this high speed rate. Especially for artists, it’s a bummer because some people just don’t want to buy anything from us anymore because they have AI.
In my opinion, AI cannot replace true and honest handcraft from us artists and I hope many people will keep on supporting us.
So I hope it won’t enrich our art community.
