1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
I’m BluishFeather. I like the color blue. Sushi is best food. I like to draw to entertain and make people happy.
Leggi tutto: Tickle Artists #67: Interview with BluishFeather2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
Not sure about techniques, but I use references. I have many favorite artists that inspire me. I can’t name just one, but there’s way too many to name. But many artists I follow inspire me. But the one who inspired me to draw in the first place was Steve from Blue’s Clues.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
Blue’s Clues got me to start drawing. But my passion for drawing came from wanting to draw fanart of my favorite video games and cartoons. I guess you’re asking about my tickle awakening? You can blame Disney’s Tarzan, and should know what I’m talking about. I was but a wee child…
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
Like any good tickling connoisseur: one person tied and tickled by another. But specifically, upperbody tickling. But very specifically, titty tickling.
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
I dunno. I don’t think that deep about it. I just like the fun aspect of tickling. But I do like to focus and deliver good expressions.
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?
Well whatever your mind can imagine. It’s limitless: tentacles, robot arms, angels and demons, futuristic, etc. The tickler tickles a clone of themselves, whaaaat? You know anything real life can’t do without budget…
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
I guess the small short power trip? But also probably because it’s cute and fun? It’s fun to overpower someone with just simple light touches. Light enough to make them laugh and beg. And harmless for the most part.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
I’m proud of the characters I’ve made, but I’ve made too many………
But the most recent work I’m proud of is the one involving my new angel and demon characters.
(Good lord, I made more characters.)
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
I would love to work in family entertainment someday. Make animations and cartoons for children. I’ve luckily worked on a couple of studios already, and I’m currently looking for work. But in the meantime, just drawing and animating.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
AI art is boring. Many of them look alike and with flaws that only those with keen eyes can detect. And it’s very obvious when something is AI, but the sad truth is that to the general public, they don’t really care. People care more about quantity, not quality. Also AI can’t create, it just steals from others’ works.
