1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
Sure! My name is Bill Vicious, I’m an NSFW artist residing in Barcelona, and I’ve been involved in the art of hentai for about nine years. I began by creating comics and commissions to make a living, and it wasn’t until almost three years ago that I decided to open my Patreon (the best decision of my life). Currently, Patreon is where I do everything and where I can have a closer relationship with the people who love and respect my work. In exchange for the support they give me on Patreon, I draw what my followers want me to create. 😉
Leggi tutto: Tickle Artists #32: Interview with Bill Vicious2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
I use Photoshop for all my illustrations. I’ve always been a digital illustrator. If you gave me a pencil and paper, I don’t think I’d know how to make a decent drawing. I’m too used to digital tools like scaling and the undo button!!! XD As for illustrators who inspire me… I have too many. I wouldn’t know of one specifically.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
The passion for drawing has been with me since I was a child… when one gets bored in class and knows how to draw, they tend to practice a lot. I have all the books from my childhood, adolescence, and university filled with drawings in the corners. The tickling passion came later… I started by creating “futa” genre comics. I didn’t know that tickling was a genre that interested people. It wasn’t until I began doing tickling fetish commissions that I discovered there was a small niche that matched my tastes. Suddenly, tickling wasn’t madness, but there were people like me who liked it!
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
I like interrogations… although my favorite are the tickle battles. It’s a genre I invented. Two female characters battle by tickling each other until one defeats the other. I enjoy the combination of fighting, eroticism, and submission!
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
I like to indulge in many aspects of tickling. I have the desire to represent too many things within the illustration. I not only want to see tickling in a certain part of the body, but I want to detail all the parts of the body that I can represent. That’s why in my illustrations, I usually create many panels. My drawings are practically comics. This way, I can represent the process from the least to the most. In that process, it always ends with the character being tickled reaching their limit.
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?
Erotic illustrations come from fantasy and are not bound by reality. That’s a significant advantage. Why do you think hentai exists? Hentai is completely unreal pornography, taking sex and perversion to levels that in reality would be impossible… even dangerous. Tell me, how could a tickle machine with tentacles be made in real life? Illustration, on the other hand, can make it possible!! 🙂
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
It’s based on domination and submission. There are always two very important roles: the dominant and the dominated. It’s a fetish that explores these two roles in a very innocent way. No one is killing anyone, but nevertheless, the torture is real and morbid, hahaha. I like the combination of humor and torture.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
I’m very proud of my annual specials. Among my favorites are the Valentine’s Day special with Erza Scarlet, a mini comic where I simulate a date with her. It took me almost three months to finish… It was tough but looking back, I’m very happy. It turned out great. I also love the last summer special: the Summer Tickle Fest! An event I created where I invented various summer tickle games and a tickling tournament. They are scenarios that allow me to create crazy situations to entertain my audience. In these specials, I exert more effort than usual, sometimes producing up to five illustrations per week… it’s madness. It’s something I can’t do every month, but occasionally, I feel like trying it to challenge myself in my career!
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
I’d love to address another fetish that I like: futa. Currently, it doesn’t have space on my Patreon as it’s a very different fetish from tickling. Although I love tickling, I feel that I have abandoned the second fetish that I like the most and that I started with in the hentai world. However, I’m not sure how to find time to create futa content yet. Time will tell, though, I’m not saying it with regret, because I can’t complain. I love tickling! I just hope that in the future, my art can find a small space to dedicate to futa.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
It’s still too early to know. I do believe they’re a bit threatening for illustrators, although for now, I’m at ease since I understand they don’t quite have the dexterity, hahaha. But well, no one knows the actual impact AI might have on the field of illustration. If someday there exists an AI capable of doing what I do… I’ll simply have to strive more to set myself apart from it! Or on the contrary, use its technology to transform my work. If I were to wish for something, it would be that AI becomes tools to enhance the quality of life for illustrators and thus improve their work. I envision quick ways to color, enhance certain perspectives, ink, etc. Always as a tool and not as a replacement. But as I said, it’s still too early to draw conclusions.
