1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
Hi, I’m AllusiveRhythm, and I draw art that’s mostly related to Living Clothes (or LC – clothing moving around on its own and whatnot) and Body Control (or BC – sort of like possession, but the subject is fully conscious), but I’ve also added tickling in some of my works, as I like to try new things out. I started posting art about 10 months ago and have managed to gather an audience that shares my interests, so it’s really motivating and I’m glad I can create art for an otherwise niche field.
Leggi tutto: Tickle Artists #108: Interview with AllusiveRhythm2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
I use Krita as my drawing program and a Wacom drawing tablet.
As for any favorite artists, I definitely have to mention Kusujinn. He makes incredible art about tickling and bondage, and is a big inspiration for me to always strive for improvement.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
If you’ve ever thought tickle content was niche, LC and BC content is even more scarce than that. I’ve always had something of an artistic interest, so I went ahead and started making my own works in the niches to try and fill the lack of content in them.
As for tickling, it’s a fun topic to depict. Most of the characters I draw look pretty distressed with their predicament, so it’s nice to be able to draw a smiling or laughing expression for a change.
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
Since my core niche is living/possessed/otherwise animated footwear, it’s pretty convenient to turn them into tickle shoes that their wearer can’t get off. I’ve also depicted remote-controlled gloves that can have the wearer tickle themselves at the press of a button.
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
I like to depict living clothes as a sort of “force of nature”, with a will of their own and using any wearer however they want.
My approach to tickling so far has been tech-related, with clothes either malfunctioning or being ordered to tickle their wearer, but there’s a lot of ways to explore the concept of tickling clothes and I wish I had enough time and energy to do more.
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?
My main niche is pretty much impossible in real life, so similar things like, say, tickling clothes that force themselves onto a wearer, can only really be shown through illustration. To each their own, of course – others might likewise prefer more realistic situations over fantasy.
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
Hard to say, since it’s more of a side thing for me, but I feel like it might be the aspect of someone being made to submit through a means that makes them laugh.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
I’d say “Grace’s Botched Shoe Upgrade” – It took a lot of effort to get both pages out in time, having just one week for each, but it was a valuable experience.
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
Continuous improvement in both artistic quality and speed – being able to make better art faster. It’s pretty much a marathon, but the journey is just as valuable as the end.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
(No comment on this one, sorry.)
