1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
Sure! I’m Evilsancho. I’ve been on DeviantArt for years, just collecting favorite pieces from the community and really appreciating some of the just stellar art and artists out there with amazing talent.
Leggi tutto: Tickle Artists #110: Interview with EvilsanchoIt wasn’t until AI (and recently) that I began to post anything, and I’m very humbled that it has gathered some attention. I mostly just started posting so I had a place to store some of the images that I generated. I honestly just feel good having a sense of community here. Sometimes having an atypical fetish can feel isolated and lonely, especially if we keep those thoughts secret from others in our daily lives. It’s really important we have a place where we can feel like ourselves, even if it’s just online in a comment section.
2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
Anything I’ve posted has been from the AI image generator on Bing. What started out as just a perverted experiment to see what could be made has really transformed into my genuine interest in the fun games I have trying to navigate the technology and of course the limitations sometimes set by the site (which can be annoying, but is now more of a challenge.)
I remember gaining access to the internet around age 9 or 10, and exploring in secret this fetish that, up til that moment, I thought was something only I had. I remember being completely floored when I discovered the works of BAC and Saudelli. FTKL was also huge for me, as was his later Vellicatrices Unlimited series.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
I think I remember being interested in tickling before I was even a sexual being. It’s odd. I know a lot of the psychology behind it, but there is still very little research as to the how and why of it, but it is definitely a core part of me, I assume the way some say their gender and sexuality can be a core part of their identity. What I think sets me and perhaps all of us apart, is the struggle to know it’s a part of you, but be nervous to share it with the world, perhaps making it all the more a mark of our identity, as it is not just our sexual interest, but sometimes our greatest secret as well.
As far as drawing, I feel almost completely without talent, though my urge to write and be creative has existed my whole life. I love coming up with fictional worlds, stories, etc. I spend a lot of that energy in games like DnD or just telling my friends ideas I have. I went to school for writing, and wrote a book a while ago (though I never tried publishing it) but this little DeviantArt page of mine is probably the most I’ve ever let my work be seen to a wider audience. I’m really happy I get to blend that passion with this community.
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
I can’t help but fantasize the classic ‘tickle torture’ scenario. I think I was heavily influenced by the early cartoons I saw as a child that featured it. I’m sure most of us remember the classic Ninja Turtles episodes with Don Turtelli.
5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
Well, I enjoy the story. For me, tickling without a narrative just doesn’t compare to something without a level of… drama to it. Like the aforementioned Don Turtelli, I like a good villain to make a story or picture pop to life. As for a personal note, I would say that 90% of the time I like to feature barefoot ticking into something I make, feet are probably my close second fetish. It’s usually a f/f scenario that I enjoy, but sometimes I like to imagine a good f/m scenario as well. Also, since I started gaining followers, I have been trying to incorporate other scenarios that someone may like more than I do: underarm tickling, m/m tickling, etc. Even though I personally don’t always think of these scenarios for my own gratification, I feel I may as well branch out. I think one of my favorite, if not #1 favorite tickle comic of all time is actually a furry mm/m, and that’s not really my usual kink at all, but good narrative is good narrative.
6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?
I think both illustrations and stories add a little bit of your own imagination, as well as more easily incorporate fantasy elements. I mean that twofold: fantasy as in the fantastical elements of fiction that’s hard to match (unrealistic scenarios, fantasy creatures, sci-fi technology, even the whole world of furry tickling) but also our personal fantasies. It’s a lot easier to draw an adventurer from DND being tickled by dark elves in a dungeon than it is spending the money on that kind of production for a video!
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
That’s a tough one. I think there is something deep rooted in our psyche for that sub and dom play that BDSM fetishists know, but with a maybe sense of playful nostalgia mixed in? Or, it may simply be that our brains are wired uniquely so that a tickle response in both ourselves and others elicits pleasure. The aforementioned lack of research allows for all kinds of theories, I think.
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
I was incredibly jazzed when I realized how to make comic panels, which I labeled “Funny Pages.” Is it okay to say I’m actually just really proud of my little dad jokes I sometimes hide in my posts?
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
I want to get better at using the generator to try to make consistency in art. Ideally, as some have already asked and requested, I’d like to try to make a whole comic story at some point, to emulate the artists I mentioned previously. Maybe even collaborate sometime by seeing other artists take a character from the page and run with them in their own style.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
I fully understand and support any artist out there averse to AI art. I was surprised and humbled you even reached out to me because of the stigma I think I placed on myself for only posting AI. I make sure everything is labeled AI when I upload it, due to never wanting people to think that I compare myself to their raw talent and immense dedication and craft.
I’d like to hope it enriches the community, but I can understand the fear some have over it. For me, it gave me a way to realize something that I’ve always wanted to do, and it has definitely served as a great muse for writing, even outside of the tickling community. Hopefully it remains an ever evolving tool that we can use in tandem with our other myriad list of skills.
