1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

I’m Dr. Corvac, just your average joe with a keen eye for bellies and navels. My art ranges really, I make fanarts and such random stuff such as Genshin, Gravity Falls, etc. but in this account, I focus on more fetish-related material.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I can’t really say I have a signature technique… I’m a very experimental artist. Whatever I feel like doing is what I do but I guess my art leans more into the sketchy-but-still-has-effort kind of thing, you know. And I have a lot of favorite artists really, here in Deviantart there’s a whole treasure trove of talented fetish artists and such, but my inspiration is Sir. Hirodi Ishikawa with his exquisite navel comics.

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

My passion for drawing started at a very young age. I always loved replicating the characters I see on animated movies and cartoons and it just makes me happy being able to draw them do what I want them to do. This also applies to tickling as well as I see tickling as a form of art. Being able to think and create scenarios where someone can be tickled just fuels the creativity you know. My passion for tickling was just a culmination of the feeling of joy from being tickled and tickling others as well.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

The tickle scenarios I prefer are more subtle ones… accidental ones… a hint of mischief and playfulness all mushed together into one scenario. Especially when a person mostly bares a ticklish part of their body(like girls who wear crop-tops), letting them know about that weakness of theirs through a poke or tickle’s fun.

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

I intend to show the reactions of the ones being tickled and the methods in which they are being tickled. Because everyone has different reactions to being tickled: Some are surprised, some immediately start giggling, others are more annoyed, etc. And the method in which they are being tickled just adds to the uniqueness of the art, you know. Aside from just showing a feather tickling the navel, I would also like to see how the feather stimulates the navel from the inside, kind of like that. I don’t show it through all my art but if I can, I would.

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?

I think illustrations offer more freedom and a variety of scenarios. A majority of the tickle sessions that I’ve personally seen online are just the ticklees being tied to the bed or any form of structure and then tickled. While intriguing, I feel like tickling doesn’t have to be limited to just that. So illustrations have an edge on that front.

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

I personally don’t know, hell I’m shocked a lot of people liked tickling even. I thought I was one of the only few who likes it. But speaking from my experience, I guess it’s just a mixture of the joy both you and the tickle victim gets when tickling each other and the intimacy both of you share by being together. It’s probably one of the only forms of intimacy everyone can relate to at some point that’s fun(if both parties consent to it): friends, family, lovers, etc. have all tickled someone at one point.

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

Currently I’m most proud of my artworks depicting scenarios in which the navel can be tickled, such as the spy girl on the vent. And judging by the reception, I’m glad people feel the same way!

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

Aside from improving my art style, I hope to do more than just drawings: Animations, comic strips, hell, maybe even help shoot a few more unique tickle scenarios if I could.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

While I have my own opinions regarding AI as an artist, I believe when used right can actually help enrich tickling representations. It could offer and suggest unique scenarios to help artists create more interesting and unique ways of tickling. Again, this only applies if AI is used more as a tool to help artists than to replace artists, so yea!
